Type Accents has a number of settings that you can change to make it work
differently.
To change these settings, select "Type Accents - Options" from your Start Menu
or right click on the Type Accents icon (a small white é) in the system tray (the area next to the clock, usually in the
bottom right hand corner of the screen) and select "Options".
On the "Advanced" tab of the options screen, the following settings are
available:
Note: These are advanced options and should only be changed if you understand
what they do. If you need advice on changing these settings, we will be
happy to help.

Allow characters to be selected from the list by pressing a number
This option allows you to select the character to insert by pressing a number on
the keyboard (listed to the top left of the character on the selection screens).
This allows you to quickly select the character that you need without having to
move through the list. Unchecking this option will hide the numbers on the character selection screens.
Remember the state (selected language or character type) of the
"All Characters" selection screen.
When this option is selected, the "All Characters" screen (accessed by
the pressing the trigger key (normally the
right hand Alt key) and the spacebar) will remember the last character type or
language selected making it easier to
select another character of the same type. If this option is unselected, the
"All Characters" list will always start on the same starting screen.
Automatically insert the character if there is only one character available
for the key pressed.
If a character list only has one character in it, this option will prevent
the selection screen from being shown, and insert the one character
automatically.
Add extra characters to 'Type Accents' to mimic keyboard language
specific modifer key shortcuts
Some keyboards use the right hand Alt key for typing some symbols such as the
Euro currency symbol. If this option is selected Type Accents will show
extra letters and symbols on the character selection screens so that these
characters are still available. This setting is only available for some
keyboard layouts, if you think this option should apply to your keyboard layout
but isn't enabled please contact us.
Disable Accents on these keys
This option allows you to stop Type Accents from working with certain keys. You might want
to do this if another application requires a particular keystroke, or you have a
non-English keyboard and Accents interferes with some key combinations.
